The purpose of the Geography Club is to get students excited about geography, to provide a springboard for other social studies in the classroom, and to better prepare students to be global citizens in our fascinating world.

    How it Works:

    1. Four our first year, we will be “traveling” around the United States. In later years, we will study other countries.

    2. At the beginning of each month, students will take home a new map and information sheets (showing that month’s geography) to study. Parents are encouraged to review the map with their students as part of their homework and mark the school check date to remind students as the date approaches.

    3. Students will be checked on their geography knowledge during club meetings.

    4. For each state that students show they have mastered, they will receive a “travel tag” to wear on their backpack.
